How long does the estate planning process take?

For most clients, the estate planning process can be completed in as little as 2 - 4 weeks.

The reason we are able to complete estate plans so quickly is because (since estate plans are the only thing that we do) we’ve streamlined the process to make is as quick, simple, and convenient as possible for you.

There are no questionnaires or preparation required to get started. You just give us a call (or visit our website) to schedule your meeting and show up. That’s it.

If you call us (as opposed to booking online), we often have times to meet available that same week or the following week, so you can start the process immediately.

We even have phone meeting times available at night in case you don’t have time to come by the office or if your work schedule doesn’t allow you to have the initial meeting during normal working hours.

The initial meeting is a fairly straightforward conversation. We just ask how we can help you, what questions/concerns do you have, and then we take it from there. Some clients know exactly what they are looking for while other clients have no idea where to start (which is completely fine and normal - that’s what we are here for).

Once we understand your goals and objective, we often schedule your signing date at the end our first meeting so you know that in 2 - 4 weeks, you’ll have your estate planning documents done because the signing date is now on your calendar.

In the meantime, we get the initial drafts over to you within 5 business days in order to make sure you have ample time to skim through the documents, ask additional questions, and make changes as needed prior to the signing.

This streamlined process allows you to get your estate planning done quickly - and, as a result of that approach, virtually all our clients say the same thing as they are walking out of our office with their completed estate binder in hand: “if we knew it was this easy, we would have gotten our estate planning done years ago.”
